It gives a lot of insight into the inter-workings of the CIA, an the administration. This is where Archer really fumbles. Archer goes out of his way to proclaim that he is both an assassin AND a hero Commqndment of his country.

I set aside almost everything once I had reached the middle of the book so I could find out what happened. An amazing book,every part of it was great,this book was so unpredictable that you could jeffeey tell what was going to happened in the next 10 pages,the writer didn’t disappoint.

I found this book to be a bit slow at times, but it’s a relief to read a book in this genre that isn’t completely over the top and unbelievable. But for the past twenty-eight years, Fitzgerald has been leading a double life as the CIA’s most deadly assassin. A friend of his arrives in time and tries to rescue him by making a bargain with the Russian Mafia.

Therefore, “The Eleventh Commandment” came as a surprise, since the author gave only one character in his book the right to entertain its readers until the last page and I truly enjoyed the fast paste action and never boring adventure across the world.

Then you have the idea of a female CIA Director who dislikes the President’s politics so much that she is willing to stage political assassinations in order to get him off her back and destroy a disarmament bill the President had been pushing.


This was my first Jeffrey Archer book and now I believe he’s earned his love of fans. Other than that, what a read!

President and his secretary Andy Lloyd are suspicious of Helen and begin their private investigation with the help of Chris Jackson an old time friend of Connor and an retired or rather kicked out CIA operative. Even at the end, the author still throws a twist at the end and not everything seems like it should be until the last page!

And only days before his retirement from the CIA, he comes across an enemy who, for the first time, even he cannot handle. I found The Eleventh Commandment is a very well-written espionage thriller story which reminds me a lot of Robert Ludlum’s Bourne series.
