The lack of findings consistent with pyogenic abscess negative gram staining and culture leads to the diagnosis of amebic abscess. CT-guided percutaneous drainage was carried out in 6 cases 5 of them with abscess sizes exceeding 10 cmand surgery in 4 cases.
