So i was thinking of using an inverter. It should work fine.

Means to actively drive the pin for the inactive state instead of using a separate inverter? Does it make any difference? No need to install a bulky IC. So when I am active high, the led turns on.

It is like the circuit I drew up but has 8 of them in one package. Can i use a instead of 74HC?
I see that I can control a relay from an Arduino. Sign up using Email and Password. A link to satasheet ULN However the problem is – the relay I am using is active low.

I am using a set of 8 relays. Then you need a ULN 8 Darlington relay driver. Iam relatively new to electronics, and I am building a prototype from an Arduino board. I left you a present. Post as a guest Name.
I dont understand what this means. Do they matter for your purpose?

Thanks for the answer. So isnt considering an IC the best solution. I am using a led to show the status of the pin. But datasehet relay is off. What are the differences between and 74HC that you can read out of the datasheet? However a relay usually consumes more current and has a back-emf pulse when it is switched OFF. I will check it for sure.
